On 13/1/2023, ORANGE published a new article on the OCTAPUS project, detailing the OCTAPUS project plan for the development, transformation and the new network, aiming to design a next-generation ecosystem, capitalizing on the properties of photonic technologies.

The kick-off meeting of the EU-funded project OCTAPUS took place on the Octοber 4-5, 2022, at the premises of the WinPhoS Research Group of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in Thessaloniki, Greece.
OCTAPUS, led by AUTH, aims to develop an Optical Circuit Switched Time Sensitive Network architecture for High-Speed Passive Optical Networks and next generation ultra-dynamic and reconfigurable Central Office environments.
Representatives of the consortium gathered in Thessaloniki in a highly inspiring atmosphere and successfully launched the project’s activities. The OCTAPUS consortium partners are:
